In partnership with UNIDO, and with the support of the Japanese Government, the Garment Design & Training Services Center has implemented the project titled “Creating Jobs to enhance economic resilience and social stabilization in the northern region of Jordan”.
The main objective of the project is to achieve social stabilization by enhancing economic resilience through the employment of Jordanians from the hosting communities, and Syrian refugees, in the textile industry in both Irbid and Mafraq. This required surveying foreign labor and specialties of the factories, and then design and implement a comprehensive training program for Jordanians and Syrians.
