United Nations Industrial Development Organization UNIDO Regional Conference:
CREATIVITY, JOBS AND LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENTIN THE SOUTHERN MEDITERRANEAN- Algeria.
The Conference, co-organized by the Algerian Ministry of Industry and Mines, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Union for the Mediterranean(UfM) under the Creative Mediterranean project, funded by the European Union and Italy, was held in Algeria, It brought together more than 400 participants from 10 countries around the themes of ‘resilience through creativity’, the competitiveness of local industries, economic integration of youth and women and the Euro-Mediterranean partnership for industry.
This meeting allowed the expertise to meet the technical and operational sides offering a deep and global vision to the discussions.
– (GSC CEO) presented the experience of textile workshops in Jordan as well as the efforts made by craftsmen and designers to develop this sector in a workshop discussing Integrating creativity and entrepreneurship in vocational education and training strategies for innovation and economic development.
Ms. Dina Maqdah (GSC Fashion Expert) presented a behind the behind the scenes journey of the creative processes and methodology implemented by the Creative Jordan project explaining the challenges and highlighting the rewarding success.
